Good Times Ahead:)

Family life is a bit like a runny peach pie - not perfect but who's complaining?....

February is a month we look forward to every year.  It is special for many reasons but mainly because it is the month Arvid's family visits from Norway.

This year's visit is even more special because Arvids soon to be 83 year old mother will also be visiting.  Molly has been here several times...the last being in 2007...at which time she said she was not coming back because the trip was too long for her.  Luckily for us, she has changed her mind and has decided to visit this year.

One of the main reasons she has decided to come this year is because of where we live....yes Tamarac.   Many years ago long before Arvid and I ever met Arvid rented a house in Tamarac.  His mother and Victoria visited and stayed in that house.  It has left good memories with Molly.....and hopefully with Victoria even though she was very young at that time.  Michelle was still not born as yet so this will be her first time in Tamarac.

I am looking forward to them all coming because each time we meet gives me an opportunity to get to know the girls better.  My only wish is to be friends and to always have a good time with them.  We have had our differences...but who hasn't?   That's what families are all about.....in the meantime I would like to think that with each new encounter our relationship grows stronger.

Victoria and Michelle just want you to know that I always have your best interests at heart even though I say and do things differently.... my only wish is to have a good time with both of you and to be friends:)  I just want you both to also know that whenever we get together I really enjoy our times.

Looking forward to your visit ......I care very much forboth of you....

Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts.... I know why families were created with all their imperfections. They humanize you. They are made to make you forget yourself occasionally, so that the beautiful balance of life is not destroyed....

until next time....
