Looking For A New Challenge....

Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.....

Arvid, I and Brutus have come to a point in our lives and have decided that we need a change.  We need a new challenge and the search has begun.  We have now been going to Eleuthera, Bahamas for 7 year.  We fell in love with this island on our first visit here and trust me we still love it...but it has been 7 years....the longest either of us has lived in the same place...and it is with deep sadness but also with s sense of fulfillment that has made us decide to move on to another project....

With that in mind we have decided that it is time to sell The Lil Red and move on to something else.

We love our island home but we have done all we can and now we are getting restless and need a new project to keep us occupied.

You see both of us are very active people and we love to be constantly on the move.....movement is what keeps us happy....

Where our next journey will lead us is still yet to be seen...all we know is that every time we undertake something we give it our best shot and maximize our potential to the best of our abilities....there comes a time when one has to realize that one must move on.

As always we are excited about the thought of something new.  Luckily, both Arvid and I have that same restless gene in us...be it for good or for bad it works great for us.  I have already made up my mind that The Lil Red will be soon gone...how soon I don't know...of course in the meantime we will continue to enjoy it but, at the same time we are already exploring new venues.....looking forward to new places, new adventures, new challenges...

Scenes from The Lil' Red House
 This is what keeps us young...our quest for something new always!!!  We both realize that all adventures, especially into new territory, are scary but for us it's the challenge that brings us alive and makes up want to achieve new goals.....

To dream anything that you want to dream. That's the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do. That is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself to test your limits. That is the courage to succeed.........

BITCHOLOGY

 I quit being afraid when my first venture failed and the sky didn't fall down..... Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.....

Here we go girls, so true~!!!!!!!!!!  When a man gives his opinion he's a man. When a woman gives her opinion she's a bitch.  Another "forward" I thought was worth sharing with everyone.  Just remember not because you are different and do things your way makes you a "bad" person.  In fact it makes you a much stronger and more determined person.
It goes like this:

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.

When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.

When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way, they call me a bitch.

Being a bitch means I won't compromise what's in my heart.  It means I live my life MY way.  It means I won't allow anyone to step on me. When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a bitch.

The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being every one's maid, or when I act a little selfish. It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I 'should' be.

B = Beautiful
I = Intelligent
T = Talented
C = Charming
H = Hell of a Woman

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!  So try to stomp on me, just try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won't succeed.....and if that makes me a bitch ,so be it.  I embrace the the and am proud to bear it.

B = Beautiful
I = Individual
T = That
C = Can
H = Handle 'anything'
Now tell me this is not really cool.  Next time someone calls you a BITCH just look at them, smile and remember who has the upper hand here.  Of course if that does not work you can always knock them down...that sure works and then for sure you know you deserve the title....

If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it.....

My Favorite Animal:))

Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live

Whoever said laughter was the best medicine knew a thing or two about what he/she was saying.  Humor ...is infectious. The sound of roaring laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle, or sneeze. When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy.

 Every so often I receive a forward from a friend...many not worth reading but some are just too cute and deserved to be shared.  Today's goes like this:

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken."

She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else in the class laughed.

My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am. Fried chicken is my favorite animal.
I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals very much. I do, too - especially chicken, pork and beef. Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office. I told him what happened, and he laughed, too. Then he told me not to do it again.

The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was. I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children. So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken. She sent me back to the principal's office again. He laughed, and told me not to do it again. I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am.

Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we admire most.

I told her, "Colonel Sanders."

Guess where I am now...

Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.

Laughter is good for your health, it relaxes the whole body, boosts the immune system and just makes everything so much better.....the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health....so come on everyone have a GOOD laugh today!!

Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it....

You Only Live Once:)

Life has no limitations, except the ones you make....live for today for tomorrow may never come...

You only live once so enjoy yourself....it's later than you think....sounds a bit dramatic but, it is true.  Life is short and it's made to be lived.  How many times have you heard someone say "oh I wish I would have done so and so when I had the chance" or I wish I would have gone to this place when we had the chance....

I hear people saying this so often sometimes I wonder if they are really serious when they actually say they want to do so and so.

I have come across too many people that all they do is talk and talk and that's IT!  Lots of hot air coming out of their mouths and none of it is worth zilch!!!

For instance my girlfriend is always telling me how she wishes she could travel more.  She says she wants to got to Paris, to Rome to The Grand Canyon and all these exotic places Arvid and I go to but....and yes there is always a but....she's makes all these plans and I get all excited for her when all of a sudden.....NOTHING!! IT WAS ALL TALK!!  Sometimes plans we have together never pan out either because she cancels at the last minute...very frustrating at times....

For many it has to do a lot with their financial situation and this is understandable but, my girlfriend is "single" money is not her problem.....if anyone can go places and do whatever pleases them it's her yet all she does is talk about it and laments the fact that she regrets not having done anything....

Deep down I suspect she is either scared to try things on her own, she does not wish to use her money on so called "frivolous" things or she is just a talker like most people....You will never find time for anything.  If you want time you must make it.

For those of you who can afford to do the things you want to do and if you have the time...my suggestion is to go ahead and do it.  Don't wait until it's too late and when all you have is regrets and disappointments of not having lived and enjoyed your life to the best and fullest....How great would it be to say:

I have no regrets in my life. I think that everything happens to you for a reason. The hard times that you go through build character, making you a much stronger person

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away

Valentine's Day Fashion Tips:)

 You know when you have found your prince because you not only have a smile on your face but in your heart as well.....

Everyone looks forward to Valentines day even if you are or aren't in love it gives us hope that something special can happen on this so called most romantic day of the year..... so with that in mind here a few tips I read about that will help to make it even more special for you....there will be people who say, love is not based on external looks but the truth is that if one comes specially dressed for you and wears your favourite colour, it adds on to the mood of the day. Thus, fashion is the need of the hour, as cupid is just round the corner.

1. A Cute Dress – This day is a the day you spend together and are in complete ease, away from the hustle and the tensions of life. Thus, flashy fashion is not for Valentines Day's. Be yourself, wear some thing cute. A T and a skirt, a frock, a pair of jeans with a cute top etc. Look feminine with your cute dress and relive the admiration of the first day once again.

2.  Accessories – Simple and sleek jewelery will suit your cute dress the best. A bracelet which rests elegantly on your wrist and a chain which lays beautifully around your neck, adds on to your delicate beauty. Jewelery brands have loads to offer this season. Accessories both for hair and matching your dress is now available.

3.  Footwear – Footwear fashion tip for Valentine's Day is to follow the high heels trend. Heels make you look elegant and also matches your cute dress. Footwear's are also going retro this season. Polka dots, strips, bright colours include in the fashion tip for Valentine's Day.

4.  Hit The Beach – The best place to be on this day is on a romantic beach. Wear hot pants, with a tuck in shirt, shades and red jewelery. Look stylish, sexy and cool on the beach with your guy holding your hand beside you.

5.  Light Make-up – The last but not the least fashion tip is to be yourself. Flaunt your natural beauty and preserve it from all the heat and sun, with a light makeup. Keep your make up to the minimum. As for lip colour, stick on to a light colour lip gloss. The lip colours in trend are peach, pink etc. Nude Make-up is the fashion tip this Valentine's Day.  Go easy on that eye makeup.

Follow these tips and and get ready for the most romantic day of the year...  For my valentine's for life ( Arvid) I say to you:

Grow old with me!  The best is yet to be......

Solid Lolita:))

God made woman beautiful and foolish; beautiful, that man might love her; and foolish, that she might love him.....

Arvid and I were minding our own business.  Sitting sipping our drinks at a restaurant in Eleuthera when all of a sudden 2 heavy set Bahamians walk in through the door.

They sit at the bar and asked the waitress if she had a to-go-menu.  She just looked at them and said "all our menus are to go".  So they asked to see the menu and she said look on the wall it's right there.  They look and said damm! we want real food not Pizza...and went on to inquire where they could get "real food".

After telling them, one of the men asked her a question.  I believe that this was his main reason for coming into the restaurant.  This was what he really wanted in the first place.

So he said how long have you been working here?

7 years said the waitress.

Well he said... I was here about 2 years ago and I met this solid, well packed and sturdy Bahamian woman married to a white guy.  Do you know her?

The waitress thinks a bit then says yes...I do.... you are referring to Lolita.

solid built:)

YES! said the man that's her Solid Built Lolita.  Do you know where I can find her?  Can you give me her phone number?  Oh I know she's married but he's a white man and I'm sure he would not have a problem with us being friends.

 The waitress just laughs and tells him that she does not have any information on Lolita but gives him an idea of where she may be living.

With that the man seemed satisfied.  Thanked her and said he was on his way out to find some real food and hopes to run into Lolita...man she was solid he said.....like the good lord says "women are necessary evils", and with that he left smiling....

I have to say this just made my day...totally brazen man.  He did not care that she was married. That was just something he would have to deal with should the issue arise is what he seemed to imply...like it or not he man provided interesting entertainment while we had our dinner:))  Hope you also had a fun day...

A man falls in love through his eyes, a woman through her ears.....
