Happy Birthday Lilly ~

A wise person knows that there is something to be learned from everyone...

Yesterdays sunset.  Beautiful sight no matter where you are.

Eyeballs all ready for Halloween.

Getting all set for the weekend.

The gray skies belong to us here in Branson.  We woke up to cold temperatures.
It has already warmed up a bit, and will continue to do so.  Believe it or not
by the weekend we will be having a heat wave.  I'm enjoying this weather.

Sunny skies belong to California.  That's Lilly Vade going to
school with her dad.  She is a happy little girl and I love her
with all my heart.  Lilly Vade is the definition of LOVE!

A niece is a little girl who grows up to be a friend...

Cold Moving In ~

Cold never bothered me anyway...

Temperatures are dropping fast here in Branson.  The next 2 days
our lows will be in the mid to low 40 degrees Fahrenheit.  How sweet is that?
Yes, I am happy for the cold weather right now.  Arvid not so much,
but the good thing is that it will be in the mid 70's during the days.
At night the cold makes for good sleeping.

Hotel business is doing good.  Arvid still has the cold and a heavy voice.
He says I am the least sympathetic person he knows.  Maybe he's right.

One of my tenants who has been here for many years came today and told me
she will be going back to Florida next month.  Of course I am happy for her,
but at the same time sad.  I have grown attached to many here. Branson
has been her home for over 20 years, so it is with mixed feelings
that she says she will be leaving us by next month.

One of the hardest moments will be when one day Arvid and I leave.
Not happening for a while, but I have grown attached to everyone here.

How lucky am I to have something
that makes saying goodbye so hard...

Car Show ~It's Friday

Happiness can't be far behind a grateful heart,
and a peaceful mind.  Happy Friday ...

The cars have been cruising along all day long for the last few days.
Each day more and more are coming into the city all
leading up to the midnight cruise on Saturday.

Arvid and I plan to be there of course.  ll of this is taking
place right in front of Almost home.  People have already
started setting up lawn chairs on the side walk.

Yesterday it rained a little.  That slowed down the cars a bit,
but the rain did not last that long and though it is predicted
to continue into the weekend, the cars kept on coming.

Everyone keeps telling us that the show is an amazing display of cars.
Over 500 cars are predicted to by through Shepherd of the Hills.  Due to the rain,
this may not be the case, but even so I'm excited to see the "show"

Arvid and I plan to monitor the parking lot together with Tony.

Well something different this weekend.  Feels like home again.  Life
in Branson is good.  No complaints here.  Hotels are running smoothly.
Sniff is happy and Arvid and I are staying busy.  Very busy.

Wishing everyone a great weekend and whatever you do, do it in style.

Make today so awesome that yesterday gets jealous...

Friday~

A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same..

Friendship is a special love.  And as we all know, true friendship is hard to find.
So when you find one hang on tight.  It also does not hurt to let them
know every now and again how much they mean to you.

If you have that special person you can actually call a friend, then you know
that you are truly blessed.  Friends are those special someone who are
always there in our lives even if they do not live right next door.

As I get older, I am more and more grateful to the friends I have in my life.  They have
enriched me and they have taught me that no matter what, good or bad a friend is always
there when you need someone to lean on. I consider myself very fortunate to have a few
very good friends and I just want to let them know how much they are appreciated.

Thank you for being there.  Thank you for caring.  Our friendship has survived
many hardships and has made our bonds even stronger.  This goes out especially to my
very dear friend Anna in California.  Our friendship began in a doctors office over
the loss of a loved one.  Our friendship is going even stronger after 20+ years.

Anna thank you for being there for me.  You know that I am here also for any
and everything you may need.  In the good and in the bad times we have survived and
our bond just gets stronger each day.  On my darkest of hours it is you who I call.  Thank
you for taking time to talk to me no matter where I am.  Loved the chat we had when
I was in Norway.  You sure knew the right things to say and before you know it
we are always laughing.  You are of the good ones and I'm glad you're my friend.

You know what they say, "A true friend never gets in your way unless
you happen to be going down"  That friend is you.  You go down the path with me
and I hope you can say I do the same with you.  Here is to a great friendship...

To all a very good Friday and yes start of the weekend.

A friend is someone who sees through you and still enjoys the view...
