January 28th ~

Always pray to have eyes that sees the best,

 a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets

 the bad, and a soul that never loses faith. 

It's not like I plan on missing you.  It just happens.

Never stop learning because life never stops teaching.

Sometimes painful things can teach us

 lessons we didn't think we needed to know.

Yesterday was a good day.  I saw a 

few of my old tenants from Almost Home

 and one of Arvid's from 76 Inn.  It was 

good to cook a few things for them, and

 to enjoy a little time together.

The beautiful thing about memories is 
that they are yours; whether they are good,

 bad, or indifferent. They belong to you,

 no matter where you are now...

Monday March 8th ~

It's a new day, so shine on...

Monday starts with a bang.  All over again.  March 

is flying by, and I really don't know how the days are 

going by so fast.  Sometimes it's scary to think of it.

Arvid has been busy with one of our friend/customer here

 in Florida.  He's visiting from Norway, and has bought 

quite some stuff that needs to be shipped to Norway.  

They have been doing some work together and 

today more of the same.  Usually Arvid and I would do

 the work together, but since the friend is here, and it's 

still pandemic times time is what everyone has.

Sniff and I will have a few hours to ourselves.  

What can I do 😁?  That's never been a problem.  I do 

know how to occupy my self in my "free" time.

Had my grandmother been alive today she would

 have turned 100 years old. Happy birthday in heaven Ma. 

 You are missed.  Mommy misses you every single day.

Saturday August 8th ~

 Saturday.  It's a good day to have a good day...

Being home is always good. We still enjoy our 

Friday evenings with our favorite drink.  We may not be

 going out and having it, but it still tastes as good

 at home.  Best part is that Sniff is part of it.

How does your day look?  Here in Fort Lauderdale it is

 warm and humid.  The skies are clear and the sun is shining. 

 can't complain.  For us it's home and I love it.

I shall pass this way but once; any good that 

I can do or any kindness I can show to any

 human being; let me do it now...

Friday Vibes ~

 I think people who don’t have conflict in
 their lives are just trying to please people 
and not really living life to the fullest...

Coming this weekend we have the Air and Water Show.

The Chicago Air and Water Show returns to

North Avenue Beach on August 17th.  It runs from

10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 17th and 18th. 

Admission is free to the 2 million audience members 

that attend each year.  Of course they have been practicing 

the last 2 days, and I just happen to get a picture. 

 Way too fast for me.  Hopefully tomorrow

 I will do better from our balcony.

Security right now is pretty tight.  Police helicopter 

are flying around constantly, and guess who is there to 

get a picture.  That would be me.  Sniff is a little scared 

of the loud noises from the planes, but Arvid keeps talking

 to him so hopefully by tomorrow he will be less scared.

Our walks takes us always to pretty places.  

Wishing everyone a good day.  It's the start of 

the weekend.  Let's see what we can do

Friday ~

Holidays are about experiences and people, 
and tuning into what you feel like doing at that
 moment. Enjoy not having to look at a watch...

I love bottles and teacups.  No matter
 where I go, I always end up with a teacup.
 Arvid of course not happy about this. 

 Says we have no more room for them.

Just yesterday one of the people we do 

business with sent us 2 teacups.  Happy me, 

except the teacups have our last name 

on it.  Not crazy about that.

I also love walking around the mall.
 Especially now during the holidays.

 Everything is so beautiful.  Yesterday
Arvid took me out to lunch and after that we had
 a little trip to the mall.  Was a beautiful time.

Even Arvid got caught up in some Christmas Shopping.

Yesterday we also had some very bad weather.
Thankfully it was not as bad as the weather people predicted.
The truth is it never is, but they sure exaggerate a lot.
 When it is bad, somehow it is underplayed.

Yesterday I also spoke for over an hour with one of my
former tenants.  She now lives in Colorado.  She called me,
 and I was happy happy for the rest of the day.  I really miss that lady.
Talking to her took me back to Branson and Almost Home.

Life is good here in Florida, but every once in a while
I get flashbacks of Branson.  I miss being busy.  We are busy
here, but it's different for me.  I was running my own hotel
 and I loved every minute of it and I love everyone
that was there.  I do miss it and I do miss them.

Today is a new day.  Right now everything is calm.
The wind is not howling and the palm trees are barely
moving, unlike yesterday when I thought they were going
 to be ripped away from the earth.  Hopefully the iguana
 that was hiding in one of the trees made it to safely.

Doing the best at this moment puts you 
in the best place for the next moment...

Vegas Days And Nights ~

Las Vegas looks the way you’d imagine heaven must look at night....

What a beautiful sight at night.   The Las Vegas nightlife truly is unrivaled.

And when the stars come out, so does everybody else.

Hungry? Well Denny's has a full bar and yes a wedding chapel. 
 Just in case you decide to do something "crazy"  You know they
 say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.  So why not?

Meet the High Roller Ferris Wheel, the world's tallest observation wheel.

The High Roller is 9 ft (2.7 m) taller than the 541-foot (165 m) Singapore Flyer,

 which held the record for the world's tallest observation wheel from its opening 
in 2008 until High Roller opened to the public on March 31, 2014.

Everyday on my tour of the city I pass the High Roller. 
 Pretty during the day, but spectacular at night.

A must is Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.  Just good vibes.  
Good music and entertainment. Good food and good drinks.

To all a good day.  Here in Vegas it is always weekend, and
 as someone said: A weekend in Vegas without gambling 
and drinking is just like being a born-again Christian.

Vegas is a celebration.  Las Vegas is the only place
 I know where money really talks.  It says goodbye...

We Made It ~

Sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed, 

and rearranged to relocate us to the place we are meant to be...

Hello all.  Sniff and I made it safe and 
sound back to Fort Lauderdale, home. 

All things considered, Sniff did pretty OK in the plane. 

 He did howl a few times, but mostly he was quiet. 

 Clearing security with him was also pretty easy we 

went into a room, and there Sniff was allowed to

 come out of his carrier while t was X-rayed.  

The worst part was when we left home in Branson,

 and in the car to the airport. Sniff made some loud strange 

sounds.  Just happy this “ordeal” is over for both of us.

He has been a very busy boy.  Not much sleep for either one of us, 

but on the other hand he is discovering all his favorite spots all over again.

Can't wait to see how the day goes by.  Sniff is already

 starting to wear himself out.  After all, he has been busy from

 the moment we arrived.  A Little strange in the start, but

 that's only to be expected.  Now it seems he has 

a hang of his "new" place.  Happy about that.

A busy day awaits us here.  Lots to do, so time
 to get busy.  Time to get Sniff acquainted 
with his new surroundings all over again.

One of the hardest things that has ever been 
required of us was the day that we had to let go as
the angels carried you up to heaven.

Every moment that changes your life changes
 who you are.  Sometimes what you're looking for
 comes when you're not looking at all...
