Making memories, one road trip at a time.

Every exit is an entry somewhere else...

 As the new month begins Arvid and I have a few 

things going on.  To kick off the month we will be 

going to visit Nina and David in PA, and after 

that we go visit Rima and family in Virginia. 

 This trip is long overdue.  We were supposed to 

go last year, but between hurricanes both in Florida 

and North Carolina it was cancelled.  As Arvid said 

to me not so long ago, "this time we're going."

May is going to be a very busy month for us.  Sniff 

is probably not going to be overjoyed, but at the end 

of the day the three of us will be together.  That's 

what matters. I don't look forward to having 

him in a plane.  Sniff is not a good flyer.

You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are 

made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life 

on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it.

May the new month be good to us all.  We can

 all use some cheering up, some good news and 

some positive vibes.  Happy Thursday and happy

 new month to all.  Let this new month bring great

 miracles, new visions, and greater blessings.

Every new month is like a chapter in a book,

A Branson Attraction ~ Wednesday August 30th

Sometimes the most scenic roads in life

 are the detours you didn't mean to take...

The Branson Scenic railway is a daytime Excursion Train, 

March through November.  We have not been on it as yet, but 

something to consider.  Now we just need to have the time to do it.

You can enjoy a three-course candlelight dinner where the guests 

are treated to traditional-style dining that was the ultimate experience 

long ago when riding the rails.  The Dinner Train departs Branson

 at 5 p.m. each Saturday and runs April through October.

Branson Scenic Railway is "The Polar Express" after dark,

 November and December. Branson Scenic Railway

If you make it to Branson one day, consider taking the Scenic Route.

On a not too happy note, Florida once again

 is getting ready to be hit by another hurricane.  As all

 Floridians know, ALWAYS PREPARE FOR THE 

WORSE, BUT HOPE FOR THE BEST 🙏

And just like that a new day begins.  Sniff of course is on

 my chair.  As usual we will be sharing the same chair for breakfast. 

 Sniff takes up more than half, but it's Sniff so all's good.

Because the greatest part of a road trip

On The Road Again...

Woah, all I want is on the road again.  Just can't wait to get on the road again

The life I love is makin' music with my friends, 

And I can't wait to get on the road again..

Quoting Willie Nelson.  Seems like our life is constantly on the road again.

I like it.  Arvid likes it, but sometimes it can be a little too much.

Truck is loaded up and we are ready to go.  I feel just like a gypsy.  Always moving, 

never in one spot.  I keep telling myself that one day we will "settle" down.

Let's do it.  AGAIN!!!!

Back On The Road...

All I want is an open heart on an open road...

Nothing like being on the road again.  Yes time again for a little road trip.  Just

what Arvid and I love doing.  This time we are taking a friend with us, and I am going to 

give him the front passenger seat while I take a relaxing ride in the back enjoying the scenery.

Hopefully on this trip Arvid will be doing all the driving.  Yay!  All I will be doing 

is taking pictures of the scenery, listening to my music and who knows maybe a little nap.

Like my mom, I love to read license plates as you can see from the above picture.

Today I will have even more time to see them, read then and get a picture of them.  Happy Day!

Well it is already Thursday.  Our weekend kind of begins today and I'm

looking forward to a very relaxing time and to some good company.

Friday On The Move...

We can’t know what’s going to happen. 

We can just try to figure it out as we go along...

Even though we just got back from Norway Arvid and I have this restlessness 

about us that makes us always want to be on the move, and that being

 the case a road trip is what's called for. Just a couple of nights.

Nothing makes us more excited than knowing we are going on a road trip.

Our trip does not take us that far away from home, so that is also good.  We can

always be back home within a few hours if necessary, but for now we will make a little

weekend getaway of it.  You know how they say that after a vacation you need a vacation?

I see in our near future a few fruity drinks and who knows what else...

It is Friday after all, and anything goes.

Beautiful day here already.  Nice and warm.
