Rincon (The Corner) Puerto Rico ~

 Sunset is the opening music of the night...

“The corner” of Puerto Rico, where the Caribbean Sea 

meets the Atlantic Ocean, has been a vacation favorite for years 

 although its visitors tend to be low-key. Rincón is a leisure town, 

where the pace is slower, and the people are welcoming. If you’re 

looking to get away from the rush of a big city, this place is the

 perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in local island vibes.

A chance to see the most beautiful sunsets in Puerto 

Rico is the first reason to make the trip to Rincón, 

a town known for its amazing twilight colors.

With more than eight miles of coastline, Rincón beaches are

 secluded, smaller, and have unique personalities. The locations 

are some of the most pristine destinations on the main island, 

where you can surf, snorkel, swim, power dive, and more.

With numerous beaches to choose from, this western hub

 is also a haven for those who love the water, especially surfing.

While the town boasts several famous surf spots, 

you’ll also find beaches where you can snorkel, paddleboard,

 dive, fish, swim, and relax — as well as places where you 

can mountain bike, horseback ride, and of course, 

delight in the sunsets every evening.

Above is from 2 days ago.  My sister in New York, and the 

snow kept on coming.  Here in PR we have summer all day 

long, whereas other places the snow still is falling.

I do enjoy the snow and seeing it, but I'm sure happy to be where

 we are.  Good morning all and a beautiful day to everyone.

Looking forward to seeing some amazing sunsets,

 and hoping it does not rain.  That would be a definite 

bummer.  Rincon is know for amazing sunsets.

happens, every day can end beautifully...

The Sunrise ~

There's a sunrise and a sunset every
 single day, and they're absolutely free. .. 

Morning sunshine.

I don't think I will ever get tired of seeing this.

Evening sunset.  Cant tell which is more beautiful.

Morning walks and furry friends.

Sniff is also a sun lover.  Every morning he
 sits by the door catching some rays.

Wednesday April 20th ~

 My new normal is to continually get used to new normals...

So the other day I got a notification from our neighborhood 
app in Fort Lauderdale.  Very surprised we were.  Our condo was

 on The New River.  Arvid's comment, "it's going to hell. 😂"

Wednesday already.  Halfway into the week.  That sure 🌞

 went by fast.  We are having warm and sunny days.  Very 

beautiful and perfect for afternoon walks along the beach.

Puerto Rico has been under a new curfew for the

 last two weeks.  Restaurants close at 9pm.  By 7:30 P. M.

 is when the last order for food is taken.  Alcohol only served

 while you are consuming a meal.  Makes it difficult to

 do much these days in the evenings, but still not bad.

 By 10 pm everyone in the island has to be home or 

wherever it is they stay.  Otherwise you risk a fine.  I got 

this from my friend Anna.  She lives in California, yet 

she's informed as to the situation in Puerto Rico 😄

Finished with my walk.  Made a few new friends along

 the way.  Fed the kitties, took care of Sniff and it's now coffee

 time and a little more quiet time before Arvid is up 😍

Good morning all.  Made it a day to remember.

Great attitude is like a perfect cup of coffee.  Don't start 

your day without it.  Wake up every morning with the thought

 that something wonderful is about to happen...

Tuesday ~

 Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can 

go, just remember how far you have come. Remember 

everything you have faced, all the battles you have

 won, and all the fears you have overcome... 

Facebook has a way of reminding you of  your 
post "history"  Some days it makes me sad and others
 like today it made me smile.  You have to take the
 good with the not so good.  It's life after all.

Other days I make my own memories and find that

 which makes me happy and makes me smile.

No one makes me as happy as my fur babies, and 

right now that is Sniff Sniff. No matter how bad a day

 it is, he's there doing his thing and reminding us that

 there is always something to be grateful for.

Yesterdays sunset from the beach.  Living in Puerto Rico 

has shown us that it's the simple things in life that make the

 biggest of differences.  I have always know that, but

 I think Arvid is realizing it even more so.

Your mind is a powerful thing. When You fill it with 

positive thoughts, your life will start to change...

New Week ~

 You have to fight through some bad
 days to earn the best days of your life... 

New week already upon us.  April is more than halfway don.

Early morning walk done.  Coffee done, Sniff fed and 

then it was time to have a little quiet time before Arvid is awake.

  Once he's up, you never know what will happen.  Can be good, 

and at times exhausting, but never a boring moment 😂

One of the 3 pools in our complex.  Unfortunately this one

 is not yet open.  As of right now only the main pool is open.

We are enjoying our time here in Puerto Rico. 

 It's beautiful and it's relaxing.  That being said, I look 

forward to one of theses days being back home in Florida.  

The when I don't know.  In the meantime, we are

 enjoying our life here in Puerto Rico and grateful for the

 opportunity to call this beautiful island home for now.

Mornings are even more special because I get to say hi to

 my furry friends and to feed them.  I love this routine.

 A girl’s favorite songs will tell you more 

about how she feels than her lips ever will...

Sundays ~

 One day someone is going to hug you so tight,
 that all of your broken pieces fit back together...

Another very relaxing day.  Basically everyday
 is a relaxing day here in Puerto Rico 😍

All is quiet here.  Soccer is on.  Arvid is chatting with 
Michelle right now, so yeah life is good and we are

 grateful for each day.  Sniff is sound asleep again.

 One of the happiest moments in life is when you find 

the courage to let go of what you can’t change...

Hello Saturday ~

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, 
a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest 

compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of 

which have the potential to turn a life around...

Us in Puerto Rico.  Even though Arvid is busier 

than ever, hard to believe right, we are relaxed and 

enjoying the slower pace of island lifestyle.

 As far as Sniff goes, island life is everyday everywhere
 for him.  Like all cats, he has his good days and not so good 

days.  meaning some days he's fussier than usual.

I did my walk as usual early this morning.  All the kitties and some

 showed up.  My little ShyBoy was also there.  He's not in his usual 

spot lately, but in the spot I first saw him last year September.  

Yesterday was all dark clouds, patches of rain and as Arvid 

would say "cooler" temperatures.  We stayed in, listened to music

 and had a good time on the balcony.  How was your day?

Sometimes you need to step outside, get some air, and

 remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be...

Friday Feels ~

 Each day has a different shape to it.  You just roll with it...

Amenities in our building have reopened following 

certain guidelines.  The pools, the gym with appointments can 

now be used.  I asked Arvid if he thinks we will go to the pool,

 his answer was "most likely not."  Does not surprise me.  

 Back home in Florida we rarely used it.  We do have 3
 pretty pools here in our complex.  This being the main one.

Fridays we usually go to the beach.  Have a Pina Colada and 

catch a little of the sunset.  Hopefully today will do the same.  

Depends on how Arvid is feeling.  I had no side effects from

 the vaccine other that a little soreness to the arm, but nothing 

even worth mentioning.  See how or if Arvid feels anything.

Thursday ~

No matter how good a person you are,
 you will always be bad in someone's story...

Sniff doing the "lazy" thing again. He wakes up,
 hunts a little then back to bed.  Life of a cat 😻 If 

you are a Sniff, there is nothing to worry about.

On the other side of the "pond" there are all these homeless 

kitties.  They sure don't have it easy.  They never know where 

their next meal is coming from and if they will live to see another

 day.  I try my best to do what I can, but it's not enough 😿

There is another lady I know of who also feeds the 

kitties in the mornings.  She and I have named the kitties

 and we have both named the same one Fluffy.  Where as I 

call him ShyBoy, she has named him Freckles.  ShyBoy/

💙 Freckles did show up today.  I'm so very happy.

Not much planned for today.  Thursdays and Sundays are

 usually my no cook days.  Of course depends on how Arvid 

feels, and what he has to do.  So Thursday unfortunately is

 a hit or miss.  Sundays now.. we always do something.

This mornings sunrise from my walk trail.  Always a

 beautiful way to start the day.  To all a good one also.

The moment you are ready to quit is usually the moment

 right before a miracle happens.  Don't give up...

Wednesday April 14th ~

🙈 Sometimes I wonder if all this is happening 

because I didn't forward that email to 10 people...

I received a call last night telling me to show

 up today for my vaccine instead of Thursday.

  Guess we're doing this.  Happy day to all.

Tomorrow Arvid gets his first shot.  

Soon we will be vaccine certified 😳😂

US: we can't shut everything down because of climate change.

Mother Nature: OH really?  Here's a virus.  Have a little practice...

Wednesday April 14th ~

 Make your someday today...

Every night Sniff waits for me to get up so that he can

 "steal" my chair.  Once I do he jumps up and Arvid covers 

him up with his favorite blankie.  The blankie is hanging by

 threads, but Sniff loves it and he gets covered every night

 around 9:30   I have to seek alternate seating 😂

Lately Shyboy has not been around.  I saw him on 

Monday, not in his usual spot.  I did not see him most of last

 week nor did I see him yesterday or today.  I have a soft spot

 for him.  Arvid says I have a soft spot for all of them. 

 ShyBoy is one of the originals and now I worry😿

We have been to the beach to see the sunset. The beach

 is packed.  Puerto Ricans love the water and every spare

 minute they have is spent at the beach.  Enjoying good times

 and loving life.  They are always smiling and happy ⛱

Tuesday April 13th ~

 Just because my path is different doesn't mean I am lost...

It's no wonder Puerto Rico is called the Isle of Enchantment.
  It is as beautiful and any of those so called exotic getaways, 

if not more so.  Best part is that is is also accessible.

These are pictures I took from someone else's post.

Of course not all is beach and blue waters, there is also poverty.

  Just like every other part of the world.  One thing though the

 people are always happy, and always ready to help out.

On a different note, Mala sent us some pictures of Sachin. 

 I showed them to Arvid and he said, "he looks like a movie star. 

 make sure you tell Sachin I said so."  Have to say Sachin sure 

put a whole new meaning to facial hair.  I normally do not like

 facial hair in men, but Sachin brought back the SEXY in it.
