Hair..

Gorgeous hair is the best revenge...
It seems that going to Mexico means doing braids on my hair.  It is not really something I even think about when here in the US, but somehow in Mexico it seems fun and appropriate.

It is actually quite inexpensive when compared to doing it here in Florida.  Once when we were in Key West, Florida, I asked one of the ladies what she charged for doing my hair.  She looked and felt my hair and said, "well you have quite a lot of hair and it is pretty long.  Will give you a good deal.  $500.00".
1st time I did braids in Mexico.  The best part of having braids is that I did not have to worry about frizzy hair for a while..  That was great especially when it was so very hot in Mexico and at the Blues Festival this past weekend.  Halfway through the festival I got restless and started removing the beads and eventually braids.  It took me hours to accomplish and when I did I sure looked different.
I looked at her and said, "not good enough".  Since then I have never really inquired again while in Florida.  The first time we went to Mexico it seemed natural to just do the braids.  I thought it was a different look and Arvid was also curious to see what I would look like.  The best part was the girl came to our hotel room to do them.

When I get restless, I experiment with my hair.  I have learnt that this is not always good because I tend to make wrong choices, but I have tried straight, short, braids, buns and I will say that my favorite is my curly hair.  I guess one is always more comfortable with what is naturally theirs.... This does not mean I I will stop experimenting...

If truth is beauty, how come no one has their hair done in the library?

All For The Music...

You never know until you try, so never say no,
because you might just pass an opportunity by..

The results of a day that was good!

Every so often it was time to elevate the leg/foot.
We carried our own little stool and it worked out great.
Serious sun burn did not matter.  There is no stopping this man when it comes to music.
The first day was cloudy and windy.  Perfect for sitting in a park listening to music.
The following day was HOT!  Day of mayor sun burn for us.

The good thing is we go to the Pier, walk around a bit and have a good lunch
in  an air conditioned restaurant while still listening to the music.

As I said Tampa Bay Blues is a favorite of ours, even though I am always HOT!

This year we minimized the walking a bit by making use of the Trolley.
Less time in the heat and also good for Arvid, whose foot is still swollen.
Next Blues is in Chicago...

Now to do some work and catch up on what's been going on
while we were away.  Arvid to me, "I think we can start going to listen to music again".
He loves his music.
Have a good day everyone.

He never says no to music...
Life is like a roller coaster, live it, be happy, enjoy life...

10 Beauty Mistakes that Turn Him Off...

There's always reasons to make mistakes. Because then you do new mistakes next time. So they're beautiful mistakes...

Eyeliner Overload:  men seem to think that you don't know how to put makeup on.  Scares them away.
Makeup Mishaps:  one guys opinion: "I don't like when I can see a girl's foundation at her neckline. It makes me wonder why she doesn't like the way her face looks naturally, and it's clear she wears a lot of makeup. Or at least it's clear that she can't blend her makeup into her neck so that it's not obvious."   Hmmm...hope I am not guilty of this.

Blinding Pearly Whites:  seems like some men are turned off by the overly white teeth.  They claim that they can see that the teeth were bleached to death to the point where they look unnatural and synthetic.  I have also seen some very white teeth that look spooky.
Honey Kisses:  men are scared of that sticky lip gloss and would prefer not to have that sticky stuff all over their face.
A Jersey Shore Hairstyle:  think Snooki and you will get the picture why men are not too happy with this look.
Super Scented:  kill me with your scent..NOT!  I am not a man and this is an absolute turn off for me as well.  Imagine getting into the elevator and almost suffocating to death due to some woman sometimes man who has scented herself/himself to death.  Horrible and I wish girls/women would realize that moderation here is also called for.  If you are close to me and I sniff you I will be fanning myself until either I am out or you are out!

Cat Woman Nails:  now is this a gross sight or what?  what's the deal ladies? How can you get anything done?
Beauty Illusions:  unless you are Cindy Crawford please do not draw beauty marks on your body, no guy is going to be into it when your beauty mark washes off in the rain."

Fake Baking: fake tan alert.  Hello girls men don't necessarily think you look more beautiful orange.
Confidence Killer:  as expressed by a man.  ""I dated a woman who would get really stressed out every time she didn't shave her legs for a day or two, and insist that I wouldn't like her as much. To be honest, I'm still going to think you're hot even if you go one day without shaving your legs, but if you keep declaring that that I'm not into you, I'm going to start wondering why I am in the first place.
Nothing as unattractive as an insecure person.  I will be the first to say that when it comes to confidence and high self esteem I am my best believer in myself.  I can do anything I set my mind on.  So can all of you!  Never under estimate yourself.

All the mistakes I ever made in my life were when I wanted to say No, and said Yes...

Misc...

I'm so blessed in my life. I don't want this time of my life to end,
and I don't take anything for granted.
I don't want to grow up too fast,
so I'm just enjoying every minute of my life...

Who does not like a little pampering in their lives?  If you know such a person I would sure like to know of them as well.  One of my favorite forms of getting pampered is to have a manicure and pedicure.  There all I have to do is sit and let someone else take care of everything.
It is not often I get to enjoy the entire treatment.  I'm always on some kind of a schedule and always have to skip the part where my feet and hands get the massage.  Not this time.  had lots of time to have a leisure manicure and pedicure with massage to both legs and hands.  It felt wonderful.

The last few days I have been receiving flowers from my sister and Brutus has been enjoying them as well.
He sniffs them daily and got his cheek all stained with pollen from the flowers.  It's been a few days now and the pollen is still there.  Took this a few days ago, you can see the yellow on his face.

Arvid and I are doing good.  Having a good time at the festival.  His leg needs regular elevating and that we try to do as much as possible.  In the meantime... the music continues here in Tampa Bay.

Tomorrow we head home back to our Brutus.

Wishing you all good day..

I never expected that this would be my life.
I'm loving every moment of it....

Happy Day...

Music is moral law.  It gives soul to the universe,
wings to the mind, flight to the imagination,
and charm and gaiety to life and to
everything.....

Greetings from Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg.

Arvid woke up saying, "today is going to be a great day"
Today you see, we will be seeing one of our newest favorite musicians.
Very young guy all the way from St. Louis Missouri.
We first met him in NYC at a blues festival.  At the time he was not even 21 years old.
He and Arvid chatted for quite some time and after hearing him play we both became fans of his.

From that day on we were always on the look out for him.  To our surprise, he plays regularly in St. Louis during the summertime and we just so happen to be in Chicago during that time.  We always make the trip to see him and so far we have not been disappointed.

Two years ago when we saw him in BB's Jazz and Blues Club in St Louis, he had still not reached drinking age.  As he said to Arvid, "only OJ for me"  A few times one of the girls slipped him something other in his OJ and he was happy.

Today the opening act is Marquise Knox, who is fond of saying:
"the blues was passed to me through the blood"
So you see, Arvid woke up happy...  You see for him music is
what feelings sound like.
Hope you enjoy your day as well :)
to stop the flow of music would be like the stopping of time itself,
incredible and inconceivable...

Tampa Bay Blues Festival...

Music is the universal language of mankind...
It washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life...

April is a favorite month for both Arvid and I.  Not only do we both have birthdays in the same month, but one of our favorite Blues Festivals happens to be this month every year.

Aside from The Chicago Blues Festival happening every June, our next favorite is the Tampa Bay Blues Festival, taking place at Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg, three days in a row.  The location is just beautiful for a musical festival.  It's right on the water with the cool breezes always coming your way.  As mentioned in the previous post, it's going to be a good time:)

Every year we have been lucky to spot Dolphins swimming in the Bay.  It is a beautiful sight and very relaxing.  After just coming from Mexico and seeing dolphins swimming every day I look forward again to hopefully seeing some more.  It is a beautiful and relaxing sight.  Makes me happy.

During this time we forget all about our laptops, Arvid always turns off his cell phone.  Correction, seems like his cell is always turned off these days.He says this is just a weekend to enjoy, relax and not worry about anything nor anyone....I on the other hand never turn off my phone because I always want to be reached in case Brutus needs us or family.

It is with great expectation we look forward to this years Festival.  Arvid says the line-up is spectacular....check it out

What I like most about it is the openness, being able to just walk around and hear the music, also I take a book.  I love to read and have the music in the back ground.  Best of all we get to enjoy another weekend doing what we like best..

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything

Music speaks what cannot be expressed,

soothes the mind and gives it rest,
heals the heart and makes it whole,
flows from heaven to the soul....

Music...

Without music, life would be a mistake...

If ever there was a person transported into another time when listening to music that would be Arvid.  Most of us like music, we enjoy the soothing tones and the way it relaxes us.  Arvid live it. When he hears the Blues, his mind is somewhere else.  Everything is forgotten and he is at peace with himself.

I look at him and his face is relaxed and there is a calmness over him that is brought on by the music.  He feels it, he lives it and at that moment he is just floating away.  I love to see him like this.  Peaceful and happy.

This weekend will be one of those times.  For three days we will be experiencing music that will transport him into another world.  We look forward to this every year and now it is here.  Today begins our road trip for a three day Blues Festival in St. Petersburg, but first we take a little detour to Orlando for the night, then it's three days of music:)

Everything is set and we are all ready to be live the musical weekend experience:)
Have a good time all...

Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music

Typical Arvid..

I don't know about the world, but I know kids. And I feel like sometimes kids don't get involved because they think, what can I do? I'm just a kid. And really kids can do so much....

Just the other day Arvid and I had just got home from quite a bit running around.  Don't know what it is with him, but there are days when running around seems to be in high gear.  Arvid is the type who prefers to go in person to a persons's office rather than make the call.

So after being out for hours we come back home and Arvid looks down into the parking lot.  He see's a huge moving truck trying to get out and no matter what it was not happening.  It took Arvid 10 minutes of watching, and at the same time telling the person what he was doing wrong.  Of course the only one who heard him was me.  Standing right next to him.

Finally he says, "I can't see him doing it this way anymore.  Let me go and help him".
Off he goes and after another 10 minutes of heavy hand motions the driver of the truck finally decides to do as Arvid says and he backs our to the main road.  By now there was a crowd observing.

I even took Brutus out to see his dada at work.  Brutus was more curious with the smells and the sounds coming from being outside of the apartment.  For a few seconds he was quiet and enjoying himself until the neighbors came to say hi to him.  Then it was back inside.  Not the bravest of kitties.

Many neighbors came to me and thanked me for what Arvid had just done.  See there was a traffic jam created by this truck.  Thing is no one saw it fit to help the truck driver.  His helper was no good according to Arvid.  Arvid can't sit still.  He has to do something.  I think it is always a good trait.
Hope your day is filled with good things coming your way.

When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better...

Happy Anniversary...

One by one each year flew by, since you both said 'I do'  years of memories, shared by the two of you. From big events and holidays, to simple daily pleasures. Some tearful times along life's way, some joys that can't be measured. One by one each year now gone, but still they're yours forever each and every memory, of a wonderful life together! Happy Anniversary..

This is for my mom and dad.  Because of them I am the woman I am today.
All I can say is thank you.  You are both always there for us,
and no matter what I know we can always count on you both.

Wishing you both many more years of happiness.
Five daughters, nine grandchildren and you are still sane :)

We all love you.  All five of your daughters and their husbands.
I can say that Arvid also looks up to both of you.
Like me, he enjoys our time together and we look forward to seeing you both
in May.

Your nine grandchildren think the world of you and I know they love every moment they spend with you.  Whatever it is your're doing, don't stop.

Thanks for all those wonderful years and the wonderful memories you have given us. Happy Wedding anniversary to you, mom and dad,
and may you have many, many more.

Just a few memories..that's me with my mom on the right.

None of us know what the future holds
For both of you, Dad and Mom,
But this we're sure that you'll find
The best is yet to come...

Who Would Have Thought....

Some things are so unexpected that no one is prepared for them...

My cousin posted this and it sure made me laugh.
I think I will have to try it out soon.
How many times does someone asks us, "how are you today?"
We just for the sake of it give the standard answer, "good, and you?"

Well the other day at the grocery line I was asked the same thing again.
I look at the girl and I started to tell her all my
"problems" and issues I had going on.
She looks at me and I say to her,
"you see sometime there is more to the question that meets the eye."

She was a little taken back and tried to rush me away.
I was taking my time and still babbling along about life
and "problems" some made up just for the sake of it.

Goes to say, next time the unexpected might just be that slap in the face.
Probably unexpected for the receiver and for me who will probably be slapped right back.
Sure somewhere there there is a lesson to be learnt.
Right now I prefer to tackle the challenge and deal with the lesson later on.

The best things in life are unexpected - because there were no expectations...

Sunday...

A beautiful day is awaiting for you.
Walk with aims.  Run with confidence.
Fly with your Achievement.  So get up, and make this a lovely day...

Good morning to all and hope you have a great Sunday.

All good here.  Arvid on the phone catching up with family.  Always a good thing.
As usual, being Sunday breakfast is a little later.
The day is cloudy, but hopefully will clear up soon.

Looking forward to maybe some music later on, if it does not rain (so far does not look so good), and a lunch with friends. We have a new place close to us and we have already been there a few times, so looking forward to it again:)
Sundays are always good days.  It's one of the few days there is not much running around.  Since getting back from Mexico, it seems we have been on the move.
I don't know what it is, but seems every time we go on a little vacation things happen.
Have been telling Arvid we have to go away more so that when we come back we can be really busy.  We love it both ways.  The hectic way and the relaxing way...

Brutus is all ready for his Sunday.  After sniffing the flowers my sister sent he developed an allergy.  You see my sisters' flowers keep coming everyday.  Seems like the people got the wrong order, so lucky me I get a fresh bunch of flowers until the "right" ones show up.  In the meantime I love them all as does Brutus.

Yep, going to be a good day. Hope yours is also.

Each day I am thankful for; nights that turned into morning,
 friends that turned into family,
dreams that turned into reality and likes that turned into love...

"You're Dehydrated" .. She Said

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

We have been going to the same doctor now for a few years.  General practitioner. Nothing more than a yearly check up is all we required until a few months ago.  Every time we go to her Arvid has always mentioned that his leg cramps up all the time.  Every time she passes it off as nothing unusual.

January of this year, the problem was worse.  We told her that he is hurting his foot sometimes gets puffy and just about everything causes him to almost cramp up.  She performed a test on him.  She took his hand, picked up some of his skin and said, "the problem is that you are too dehydrated"  She then proceeded to do the same to me and to herself, thus demonstrating that we were not as dehydrated as Arvid.  Truth is Arvid drinks more fluids than I do.  Always did and still does.

After the doctors visit, the cramps continue and so did the pain.  In the meantime, Arvid also had a hernia operation.  Few days afterwards, Arvid's foot is swollen and he appears to be suffering quite a lot. He moved around but it was always with difficulty.  I decided to call the doctors office and tell her that Arvid needs to go and have an ultrasound of the leg ASAP!!

After some haggling, they decided it was OK.  I took Arvid to do the test right away.  Within minutes of the ultrasound, the technician makes a phone call.  Next thing you know Arvid was being wheeled into the Emergency Room.  He had/has a blood clot that goes all the way from the foot to the upper thigh.

We were told that things could have taken a bad turn had Arvid not come when he did to the hospital.  Immediately, he was admitted into the hospital.  His INR levels were LOW.

The INR is a test of blood clotting, which is primarily used to monitor warfarin therapy, where the aim is to maintain an elevated INR in a range of 2.0 to 3.0.  It is initially checked frequently, but as treatment is stabilized it may be done less often.

Five days, four nights was Arvid's stay in the hospital.  For me it was frightening and overwhelming to see someone you love helpless and so vulnerable.  In that moment our lives changed.  Arvid may always be on Coumadin.. that we can live with, but the fact that I could have lost him forever had we been one day or so later to the hospital is something I will never forget.  All because a doctor said he was dehydrated.
 Link: INR

After we came out of the hospital, the routine was once a week a blood test at our doctors office. Arvid was out of the hospital January 18th 2013 (have to check the discharge papers).  His first visit to our doctor for the blood test was Jan 21st.

Not a big deal.  Blood was drawn and Arvid told the girl drawing the blood that she made it so easy and that he would not mind coming and doing this test because she was gentle.  So far so good.  The doctor stopped in for a fast visit.  Arvid had on socks.  She never looked at his foot, the swelling nothing.  She never even pretended to show an interest.  All she said was "sometimes these things happen." and left as fast as she could.

After the blood test no one called with the results.  I called and this was almost at the end of the work day.  Answer, "his medication needs to be regulated"  I asked how come no one called to let us know.  Answer, "we did"  Well they did not and I said in the future I would like a call back no matter what.  This was new to us and we were just getting used to Arvid taking medications and to seeing his foot purple and swollen all the time.

As the time went by, the staff was becoming more and more "distant"  At one time they claimed there were no tubes to draw his blood ; this was a period of close to three weeks.  I thought this unusual and of course I said so and asked how could they operate this way.  We asked to speak to the doctor.  Several times in the last few months actually.  The answer was :  She is in Africa.  We cannot draw your blood at this time.  They did say we could go to another lab, but Arvid was not comfortable there.  Another time we asked to speak to her we were told we would have to wait a little until she was done with a patient.  We said OK.  Half hour later we were told she had an emergency and left to go to the hospital.  This went on every time we tried to see her.

Again on Thursday April 4th we were there for the usual blood test.  Normal blood test is between 8:30 and 9:30am, but we were told we could come in anytime if we did not mind waiting.  We always came in around 10am.  On this day we were told to leave because they will not do the blood test.  I asked how come?  I mean we did the test always around 10am.  Well not anymore.  We were asked to leave and come back the
following day.  The glass window closed in our face.

I needed to get some answers so I knocked on the window.  No one answered nor opened the window.  I knocked again.  The girl without opening said she was going to call the cops because I was trying to break the window.  I told her to go ahead because we will be here.

In the meantime, I also asked to see the doctor.  Window still closed.  Finally someone opened the window and said I would have to make an appointment.  I said OK.  I would like to make an appointment to see the doctor at her earliest available time.  I was told that they could not give me an appointment.  I would have to call and get it.  Now how come everyone who came out always got their follow up appointment right before leaving the doctors office and we could not.  We had to call it in.

All the time we were more than ever convinced the doctor was afraid to see us.  I knew she did something wrong and I knew she was afraid to face us.  When Arvid did not have this condition she was always smiling with him and joking with him.  We were always able to see her.  Most times the same day as when we called for an appointment.  All this before she misdiagnosed him.

Add caption
Back to the closed window. The cops did show up.  Told us to please leave.  I asked why???  The cop was very nice, but as he put it these were the doctors policies...  We left, and there was a report filed.  Just for the record.  As we were leaving I said we will be back the following morning during the hours of 8:30 and 9:30 for Arvid to have his blood drawn.  The girl said OK.

Next day we were there at 8:25am  Just one person ahead of us.  That person was called in.  We sat, we waited.  9:35 the waiting room had quite a few patients.  We still were not called in.  Having another appointment by 10am  (it was now 9:45am), we decided we had to leave and return another day.

As we were leaving someone ran out of the office and said "she" wanted to talk to us.  I thought the "she" would be the doctor.  Arvid was ready to leave because we were already late for our appointment.  I told him it might be the only time the doctor would see us so we should wait.

Turns out it was the doctors office manager.  He said the doctor does not wish to have us as her patients anymore.  I was shocked.  Of course I asked why?  His answer, "she and the staff feel threatened by you and we have the police report".  He immediately wanted us to sign some papers.  We did not.

Now Arvid has not had his blood test taken in two weeks.  It took me almost three hours to find another doctor.  His next blood test is 5 days from today.

I believe his doctor did something wrong and she is now afraid to face us!
This is wrong.  Something has to be done because Arvid could have died because our doctor, someone we trusted said he was "just dehydrated".
got the bill for my surgery.
Now I know what those doctors were wearing masks for...

Wet Day...

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.
I like people who smile in the rain...

The waves are picking up speed.

So it does not snow in Florida (not usually), but it sure rains like crazy.  Today and yesterday was one of these days.  Rain like you have not seen.  Seems like the drainage system cannot absorb all this water too fast because right away the roads are flooded.
Normally we do not like to be out on the road driving, but sometimes things happen.  So many chores to do that it was impossible to not get wet one way or the other.  Arvid HATES rain.  I don't mind as long as my phone and purse stay dry.  Yes, don't like my shoes getting wet unless I'm wearing flip flops.

Rain is pretty as far as I am concerned.  Washes away the dirt and makes everything clean.  Listening to the raindrops fall as I write.  Also listening to Arvid talking to our Internet server.  He has been having problems sending out emails here at home, but no problems at all when we were in Mexico.  No problems receiving though...  haha.   Seems like everything now fixed :)  Though he sent out quite a few while we were in Mexico, still has tons to send to customers.  Guess he's now happy.

Arvid is happiest when on his laptop with customers...
He's smiling and sending out those emails.
I'm happy just doing anything on my laptop.

Time for a shower and to bundle up as Arvid says.
Relax, watch some TV and turn off the ringer on the phone..

Hope you are also having a good day.. enjoying it with the ones you love.

Weather is a great metaphor for life — sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad,
and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella...

Good To Be Home...

Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much...

We all love vacations.  Some more than others, for us the best part of any vacation is coming back home and  being with Brutus.  We had a wonderful time in Mexico.  More so because we stayed in our own condo which was acquired sight unseen.

I remember being in New York this past November and Arvid calling me and saying he missed me.  At the same time he asked me if I would like to have a place in Mexico.  Of course I said yes.  Well when I came back from New York we had a place in Mexico.

The apartment is in a great location and best of all we love it and we can go there four times a year if we like.  We think we will do two times a year. Yes, definitely coming back!

As much as we were having a blast, good food, good music and happy hour among other things, Brutus            was never far from our thoughts.  The only person I called aside from my mom was Liliana.  Brutus' pet sitter and my friend.  Spoke to my mom probably 3 times while we were gone, a sister and regularly with Liliana just making sure Brutus was OK.  He was/is doing good.  Aside from the paw which still looks awful, everything else is good.
We arrived and were supposed to pick Brutus up at Liliana's place.  She always like to keep him with her so that he is not alone.  To our surprise (pleasant one), Liliana had brought Brutus home to us already.  Yes, he was home waiting for us.  We were happy!

As soon as we opened the door he was right there waiting for us.  That night he spent the entire time with us on the bed, moving from Arvid to I constantly just making sure we were there.  He also spent quite a while playing with my braids.  Yes, he was all over us and never left our side until the morning, at which time he cried and cried until one of us got out of bed.  Always me :)
Spoke to Liliana and she said that this time Brutus missed us too much.  She said he cried constantly and tried to run out everytime she opened  the door.  Seems he liked being out in the hallway.  When he was little Arvid used to take him out in the hallway and together they took the trash out.  Hearing this made Arvid and I really sad.  Of course we then spent time reassuring him everything was OK.
Arvid said, "he's just like a baby".
...and right now the baby is sleeping among all the warm laundry...
Good to be home:)

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other,

but in looking outward together in the same direction...

Need Calcium...?

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon...

We've all heard that calcium is one of the most important nutritional building blocks in our body: The mineral (the most abundant of all in the human body) helps to maintain strong, healthy bones and teeth, and also aids in vascular contraction and muscle function, among other essential functions.

We've also all heard that a nice, cold glass of milk is the best way to get our much-needed calcium, but whether you're vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free or just don't like the taste of milk, the truth is that it isn't the only way to work toward your 1,000-a-day.

Take a look at the list of food above.  All rich in Calcium and they add a little variety to your diet.  Eating is fun and a pleasure and more so when what you eat is providing you with nutrients that are essential for a healthy body and a healthy lifestyle.  Then ask yourself, which non-milk option is your favorite way to make sure you get enough calcium?   Whichever it is, make it a delicious option and remember everyone:

Follow your dreams, work hard, practice and persevere. Make sure you eat a variety of foods, get plenty of exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing...

A Good Thing...

Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today...

Our stay in Mexico is coming to an end.  I have to say that this has been one very amazing time for us.
We stayed in a beautiful apartment.  Two bed room three bath with amazing views of the water from three sides.  From the balcony we see the boats and the ocean.  Same as from the master bedroom.  From the second bedroom I can see the lagoon in which the dolphins swim. I wake up happy every day knowing that it will be another glorious day.

Arvid looks at me and says, "it's sad.  This is our last outing for this trip."   On the positive side we will be back in November.  The good thing is we will soon see Brutus and that is something we both look forward to.

Yesterday was my birthday and I woke up to Arvid's beautiful card.  He can be very romantic when he wants.  Arvid knows that I love cards.  He never forgets them and always puts it under my pillow.  Perfect way to wake up.  After breakfast he took me out for a walk along the beach and for whatever I wanted.
Perfect morning.  We watched the dolphins swim and we had a very nice lunch at one of our favorite spots called Mango's.  Coincidentally,  there is also a Mango's in Fort Lauderdale.  A favorite for quite a few tourists.  On our walk we also spotted a few other creatures.

ready for dinner

I am having the time of my life and I would not want it with anyone other than Arvid.  As he said I am his best friend as well as his wife.  I say the same about him.  He is my best friend and my husband.  The man I look forward to spending forever with...

When I am with Arvid, I see everything I need.  Arvid, Brutus and I = HAPPINESS

Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye...
