Friday July 22nd ~

 When thinking about life, remember this: 

No amount of guilt can solve the past, and no

 amount of anxiety can change the future...

Yesterday's lunch was good.  Good conversation, good food.

  Once in a while it never hurts to lister to what others have 

to say.  You learn a lot, and we sure laughed a lot.

I enjoyed my chips and salsa, and then my taco salad. 

Not bad at all.  Much better than what I used to order.  The

 Lomo Saltado was not to my liking.  At least not here.

Been thinking a lot about Brutus.  Debbie and I were talking 

and Brutus came up in our conversation.  Always good to talk 

about him, but then my mind wanders away for a little.  Life.

Friday.  Warm, but with no humidity.  That's the blessing in disguise.

The mind will not always remember exactly what happened,

 but the heart will always remember the feeling...

Thursday July 21st~

 Just because you took longer than others doesn't mean you failed...

Yesterday was hopefully my last day with Pookie.

 I say hopefully not because I don’t want to see her , but

 because I want her to go to her forever home again and

 be happy with her new mama.  That’s my wish for her. 💛

 Everyone says I get too involved.  I wish I didn’t but 

 so far I can’t seem to help it. Sometimes I think it’s better 

to be less involved.  This way you don’t get hurt that often. 

 That’s like with my PR kitties, not a day goes by that I don’t 

think of them. Whenever a “memory” pops up on Facebook 

I skip it fast.  I say to myself, “they thrived without you” 

For some reason, Rocco always comes to my mind.

The mind replays what the heart can't delete 💙.

 

Today we meet Chris and Debbie for lunch. Two of

 Arvid's previous tenants.  It’s Mexican day today.  Looking 

forward to my chips and salsa. I think that’s my favorite

 part of Mexican food.  It's also super HOT!🔥

Sniff’s good. Keeping a keen eye out on the birds 

and whatever wildlife shows up.  Gerald’s been around

 eating all the carrots.  I also give him celery, bananas and 

nuts.  Squirrels and chipmunks have a combination of nuts

 and raisins. Same for the birds. Everyone is happy.

Yesterday was four years when, over a dozen people 

died when a Branson tour boat sank on Table Rock Lake. 

 I remember that day, Arvid and I were in Norway when I heard

the news.  Today the Branson Duck Boat is back up and running.

Wednesday July 20th ~

 Always forward. Never back…Learn something new everyday... 

Yesterday we never left the house. It was that hot. 

That meant I had so much time on my hands.  Of course I 

was a little bored.  Yesterday I did not go to AHL because

 Pookie had someone else taking care of her.  I go there 

today and yes very excited to see who I will see 🙃. 

It makes me happy when I go there.  Yes, it 

was hard work, but it was good also.  And no, 

I don’t regret not being there all the time.

Arvid knows how to stay busy. He just has a

 knack for it.  Thank goodness for the internet 🙃

 keeps us both busy with our our stuff.

Sniff is good but has not been at his best. 

He’s been moody lately.  Has not been eating

 his foodies.  Of course I worry, but I have learnt

 to control myself.  I know he’s not starving.

The wildlife in our back yard continues to keep 

us entertained  even Arvid looks out every so often

 to see who’s moving around.  Last night mama and 

her baby showed up.  baby has gotten big now.

 Yesterday the turtle visited again.  Of course he found lots

 to eat.  That’s him eating a piece of a tortilla.  The squirrel

 ate the apple I meant for Gerald, the groundhog. Gerald didn’t 

mind one bit, he had lots of carrots and nuts to choose from.

Another quiet day awaits us 🙃  Arvid already

 has a few hires around the house so he’s happy.  Keeping 

busy he says..  wishing everyone a great day and may

 your goals get a closer to being accomplished.

What matters in life is not what happens to you but 

what you remember and how you remember it…

Tuesday July 19th ~

 The most wasted of all days is one without laughter...

Gerald, the Groundhog. He's fat and wobbles
 when he moves.  This is big Gerald.  Senior.

Baby Gerald.  Junior.  They are both afraid of any 

sounds coming from me, but also baby Gerald is afraid of big

 Gerald.  Baby Gerald is "ours" but now big Gerald shows

 up and eats all his carrots, apples and bananas. 

Our back yard is a wildlife haven.  I'm not crazy with all 

the wildlife there, but I do like our Gerald.  He usually just 

sits on the ledge of the concrete and suns.  I'm sure 

there are holes everywhere, and that's not good.  

Yesterday afternoon our Bluebird decided to get a suntan.

At first I thought she was dead, but as soon as I clicked 

the camera she flew away, but not before I got the picture.

Another  warm day in store here in Branson, Missouri.

You can't get much done in life if you only

 work on the days when you feel good...

Monday July 18th ~

Every morning you have two choices: continue to sleep

 with your dreams or wake up and chase them...

A brand new week is here upon us again.  Sniff and 

Arvid starting out bright and early with a little maintenance 

around the house.  First on the list is to change a lightbulb. 

 Sniff takes an active role in all things Arvid does 😂 

Another very hot week is in store for us.  Really missing 

the ocean right now.  Just being next to it is invigorating, and

 refreshing.  One of these days hopefully this winter we aim to

 be back home in Florida.  A goal is always a good thing.

Good morning to all. May your coffee be strong and 

your Mondays be short. Let's get this week started.

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single

 moment before starting to improve the world...

Sunday July 17th ~

 My goal is not to be better than anyone 

else, but to be better than I used to be...

One of our favorite places to relax and have a good time 

is at The Landing.  On Friday evenings our "hang out" 

place is Landshark Bar and Grill, same as Margaritaville 

owned and operated by the Jimmy Buffett people. 

There are great views, Arvid's favorite beer and my

 very favorite drink called: It's 5 O'clock Somewhere.

  I have tried others, but I keep coming back to this.

In Norway summer is in full swing and what better way

 for our granddaughters to have the time of their lives than 

at The Pool House aka Michael and Victoria's home

 where their pool sparkles and the fun never stops.

Here at home all is good.  Sniff as usual gets all the all our 

attention and he loves it.  It's quiet, and still at times it feels

strange to be home and not have to rush to work.  We still 

go to AHL, but it's at our time and when and if we want.

Saturday July 16th ~

Everyone has inside them a piece of good news.

 The good news is you don’t know how great you

 can be! How much you can love! What you can

 accomplish! And what your potential is... 

My mom is always amazed at how beautiful Sniff is 

and how he loves getting his pictures taken.  He is beautiful. 

 Fact, but he is not a fan of the camera.  I just have

 to sneak up and take is pictures really fast.

Somedays are just better than other, and nothing wrong about that.

Soon, when all is well, you’re going to look back on this 

period of your life and be so glad that you never gave up...

Friday July 15th ~

 Every morning starts a new page in your story.  Make it a great one today...

The day is young and who knows what it holds 😀

It's the start of the weekend and it is looking good.

  Beautiful weather (hot) and possibilities to do whatever 

it is we desire.  We have time again to just take it easy and 

do as we please.  Lots of leisure time on our hands.

Always good to take a little drive and check out what's new in town. 

I get to take pictures of my favorite attraction.  The Branson Ferris Wheel.

Last night a racoon came and tried to eat from the bird feeders.

 Sadly he tilted the feeders, and now two of them are all the way

 down the backyard.  Not looking forward to getting down

 there, because after all there are snakes around the area.

Not liking this one bit, but my fear of snakes is overcome by

 the fact that I know the birds are looking forward to their

 foodies and Sniff to his live entertainment. Choice is easy 😟

Thursday July 14th ~

If you want light to come into your life,
 you need to stand where it is shining...

The week is almost done.  Another week went by...just like that.

At AHL Pookie's fate hangs by a thread.  Her 

mama is in the hospital and may never recover enough 

to return to "normal" living.  If she makes it out of

 the hospital, she goes to a nursing home.  

Pookie becomes homeless and a ward of the Humane Society.  

For now, Pookie has her mama's room until next Thursday.  

At that time, no one knows what will happen to her.

In the meantime, I take care of her.  I get her litter,

 foodies, toys and even brough that scratcher she's using. 

 She loves all the attention and her toys.  She's really sweet.

Good morning to all. Remember, wherever you go, 

no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine

You will face many defeats in life,

 but never let yourself be defeated...

Wednesday July 13th ~

 Look for something positive in every day, even 

if some days you have to look a little harder...

Yesterday while Arvid was busy doing stuff around 

town, I had the opportunity to have lunch with two of the 

ladies in our subdivision.  We met before for dinner at one

 of their homes, and yesterday the three of us had Indian food.  

It was just delicious.  Better than the Indian food I have had in 

New York, Florida and not so long ago in North Carolina.

I have been going to AHL for the last week now.  

Mainly to help take care of Pookie whose mama was taken to 

the hospital.  Pookie is really happy when I show up and wants me

 to stay with her petting and stroking her.  I do, and I feel very

 sad when I leave.  She looks at me and meows.

Yesterday was cloudy so after lunch I took a little 

time and went to the Tanger Outlets.  Was a good day.

Arvid, Sniff and I.  Living our best lives.

I challenge myself everyday to be the most

 positive and enthusiastic person I know...

Tuesday July 12th~

 Everyday brings new choices...

Gerald the groundhog has gotten bolder by the day. 

 He now comes out every day for longer and longer periods.  

I watch him from above and he just stares right back.

He moves around the backyard, and comps away on whatever 

it is he finds.  I buy him carrots because I read somewhere that

 both chipmunks and groundhogs eat carrots and fruit.  Every

 so often he gets apples and grapes as well.  I think he's happy.

Waking up to a cloudy morning.  Maybe a little rain

 today, but that's only good because we need it.  Everything 

is getting dry, plus the deck can use a little washing 😂

Sniff get lot of time again with us, and we are all loving it.

New Week Begins ~ Monday July 10th

Monday is a state of mind.  Put your 
positive pants on and get stuff done... 

Arvid's way of relaxing is by doing the breakfast dishes.
  He does them everyday, and willingly. Says that's when

 he makes plans for the day.  He's happy, I'm happy

Sniff has been sitting on the table with us during breakfast 😅.  
So far if he stays in "his" corner Arvid has not said anything.

To all a good start of the new week.  May it mark the 

beginning of a wonderful and very productive week ahead.

Never let the sadness of your past, and the fear of 

your future, ruin the happiness of your future...

Sunday ~ July 10th

 No story is the same to us after a lapse of time; or rather

 we who read it are no longer the same interpreters...

Everyday is "me time" for Sniff.  Whenever Arvid 

or I sit Sniff curls up right next to us.  Anytime for 

him is a good time.  We all love these moments.

What shall we do today?  Good question.  Maybe a little

 more relaxation is called for.  With this much relaxation,

 I will probably/most definitely be exhausted before noon.

Could it be possible that I am missing AHL?  I 

know I miss all the people and all the chats that we had. 

 I miss people contact.  I am after all a people's person.

When you feed your soul by spending time on

 things you love, that you are excited about, 

your enthusiasm becomes contagious...
