A breath of fresh air is a great thing to take,
and an even better thing to be...
The weekend is soon here. The festivities for the
Air and Sea Show began yesterday. As is typical,
when you need the weather to be dry it's not. It's been
rainig sporadically quite a lot. If you live in Florida
you know it pours like crazy for a few minutes.
Stops and does it again...and again. Thais is
what has been happening the last few days, and it is
predicted to continue raining the next few days as
well. Bummer. Hopefully these predictions will
be wrong. Like it has been so many times before.
The air and sea show is gearing up for the weekend.
Of course we can see the planes flying by our building.
I have been trying to get a picture, but they are too fast.
They just zoom by. I stand "almost" no chance, but the
show is still a few days from today so I may still get lucky.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the
2019 Fort Lauderdale Air Show on May 4-5th 2019 featuring
the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team along with
military jet flyovers, parachute teams, civilian
aerobatic acts and formation flight teams.
Then there are those who enjoy watching the festivities
from their boats. Life does not get any better than this.
Now all that is needed is for the weather to be good.
As for Arvid and I, we have seen the show a few times before,
and we do not wish to do it again. The beach is packed and
usually the sun is hot as hell. To each their own. Strange, we
like living in Florida, but we do not like being in the heat.
We do enjoy the views and the lifestyle.
