Last Sunday In 2019 ~

The year end brings no greater pleasure then 

the opportunity to express to you season's greetings 

and good wishes. May your holidays and

 new year be filled with joy...

Sunday mornings always so relaxing.  Bigger breakfast 

for Arvid while Sniff and I enjoy some crackers 

and an occasional bran muffin.  All is good.

It's soon time to say goodbye to 2019.

Sniff is now back on his bed, and Arvid is back to 

watching soccer.  He says, "let's hope the phone does not ring." 

 Seems like every time we sit to eat or just relax the 

darn phone rings.  Boy does he get mad.  Especially 

when it's just a telemarketer disturbing us.

Fort Lauderdale is experiencing massive pipe leaks.

 Meaninng there is sewage everywhere.  Not too far from 

where we live.  The third leak in a Fort Lauderdale Residents

 of the Rio Vista neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale woke up 

Wednesday to amuch anticipated holiday gift. The leak that 

has been pouring thousands of gallons of sewage every minute

 into the Tarpon River for more than two weeks has stopped,

 but on Friday there was another leak.  Pipes are too old.

We have had continuous rain here for over a week now. 

 Yes, it's still warm, but at the same time it's not so 

nice to go and do any outdoors stuff.  Hoping for 

better weather today, but right now it's rain.

To all a great.  last Sunday in 2019.  Make it count.

I made no resolutions for the new year. The habit 

of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding

 my life, is too much of a daily event for me...

Hello Sunday ~

The sun is shining.  The weather is sweet. 
 Makes you want to move your dancing feet..

Already. Sunday. The week just flew by. It has been interesting to say the least. 

Yesterday was  busy day at Almost Home.  Everyone was busy with gutter

 repairs. Even I.  The day was HOT but it humid. And fortunately the 

gutter that was being worked on was in the shade.  The work 

continues on Monday.  Never a dull moment. That's for sure.

Weather here has been "interesting" unknown to me, there was hail

 and a pretty intense rainfall early Saturday morning. The tenants 

told me about it. Thought I heard the rain but I guess I was too

 tired to really come fully awake.  Sniff was tucked

 close to me and that's all that matters. Happy boy.

It has been and extremely long time since we last Skyped with 

the grand kids.  L have not seen them in over 2 months and Arvid has only 

seen Vanessa once since coming back from Norway.  Even the little 

ones have busy schedule.  Hopefully today we will manage 

to see them. Fingers crossed.  They are growing too fast.

Happy Sunday all.  Today is a lazy kinda day.  
I'm on a very tight schedule of not getting anything done.

Life is too short to stress yourself.  Sometimes you need
 to stop worrying, planning and just relax, release and let go...

So Far So Good ~

So far so good but there are still some things to work n.
Nothings perfect.  Follow the calling not the crowd...

Everything considered, this has been a really good week for both

 hotels.  Full.  No "problems" and just a quiet time.  Yes we have 

"incidents", but nothing we did not manage to smooth over.

  Happy about that, makes for relaxing times.

Friday is usually the day I take a few of the tenants out for ice-cream.

So far I have managed to take about 15.  Still have some ways to go.  I also

usually have something as well.  Last week we did cheesecake cones.  

Sniff has been very quiet and withdraw these last few days.  Not sure if it's

 because of the thunder, lightning or the tons of fireworks that we have 

had this past week.  Whatever it is, he is even more withdrawn.

  I'm sure it will be better soon. Sniff is just an adorable kitty.

I miss cuddling with Sniff.  Hopefully one day he will like it.
He does sleep really close to us.  We can pet and touch him all we want 
during the night, he will not move nor get up.  He loves his sleep, 
but during the day he does not want to be touched much. 

 He does not even want to be brushed anymore.  Brutus wanted to be 
brushed 24/7.  Yes they are two different kitties, but somehow I just can't
 help wishing Sniff would be a little more like Brutus.  maybe he senses this.

Arvid and I have lunch out almost everyday.  Love those moments 
we have away from everyone.  Breaks up the day and makes for a pleasant
 outing.  Today we will be trying a restaurant close to his hotel.  Have not
 been there before, but everyone says the chicken is the best.  I love
 chicken so if it true, it will soon be added to the list of favorites.
