Still Happy...

If it is important to you, you will find a way.
If not you will find an excuse...

I love taking pictures of just about any and everything.  Lately I have been on a
nature kick taking everything around me.  Normally I use my canon SLR camera, but
sadly the lens no longer works.  The worse part is that I only got the lens a year ago this May.

Taken by IPhone 6
It takes amazing pictures and I really miss not having it especially when going on a vacation.
I also carry my small digital camera, but not the same.  I have been trying to contact Canon
for a long time and finally managed to get hold of someone who has been  able to help me.

Taken by IPhone 6
The good thing is that I was able to get the camera covered under warranty.  That is what
I was told.  Sent the camera lens out today so I am not expecting to see it back for weeks.
Too bad was looking froward to taking it with us t Norway, but what can you do?

Not being able to use the camera for over a month, I have become quite amazed at the pictures
taken by the IPhone 6.  I have to say that more and more I am leaning to only travelling with
just that as my camera.  The only thing is that it does not zoom really good.  For that
I actually like my little Canon Digital camera.  Great zoom capacity.

Of course Arvid does not like when I carry the "big" camera around.  It is heavy and it
doesweigh me down, but the way I see it the pictures are amazing and like I tell Arvid,
"one day when we are much older we will look back at all the places we have been to."

In a way it's my way of documenting our life.  Long time ago in another life i did not do this.
Today I have some regrets about it.  Will not let that happen to Arvid, Brutus and I and
the ones we love.  Plus I love taking pictures.  One of my favorite hobbies of all time.

Can you tell the difference in the 3 cameras used?
In the end, things that make us different make us all the same.

Do not go where the path may lead,
go instead where there is no path and leave a trail...

Monday Again...

It's the start of a new week, which means it's time to shake off your weekend,
take a deep breath and try to think positive, energizing thoughts...

Pictures sure can express more than words at times.  Definitely how many
feel on a Monday morning after a weekend of celebration and just lazing around.

Though Arvid and I work from home Mondays are also very hectic.  The weekend
though was relaxing and unusually HOT!  Yes it feels like full blow summer here.

Summertime I would rather be anywhere, but Florida.  Too hot.  Too humid.  Arvid
feels the same even though we both like the warm weather, this is just unbearable for now.

Yesterday our outing found us at Kaluz, one of our favorite restaurants.  Walking from us
is a mere 5 minutes, but we choose to drive because it was just too hot to walk.

As usual we had a good time.  Relaxing to see the boats go by so very stress free.
Once home Arvid turned all the ringers off the phones.  Said, "I don't want anyone calling
us and bothering us in the weekend."  It was only 5pm.  Of course the phone rang and Arvid
was just irritated and the rest of the evening was kind of not as relaxing anymore.  Things happen.

Monday morning.  Many things to take care of.  Not such a good start because my
Quickbooks program is acting and right now I am unable to do much. I am the one that
does the bookkeeping for our company, so without Quickbooks I am kinda stuck.
Hopefully we will resolve the issue later today. For now many more things to do.

To all a good day.  Make it an amazing one and let's get this week going.

Life is like the ocean.  It can be calm or still, and rough and rigid,
but in the end, it is always beautiful....

I'm Here....

When you look at your life,
the greatest happinesses are family happinesses...

One of the best times is when I visit family.  Today I am visiting my sister and
family.  Have been waiting for such a long time to see them and it's finally here.  Happy.

Rima, George, Gabby, Riley, Lilly Vade, Dexter and Marley.
For a few days I will be staying with them and enjoying a nice change in the weather.

Looking forward to doing so many things in this short time and spending as much time with
the kids as possible.  I'm always so happy when I am with one of my sisters and the kids,
and it has been a while since I last saw them.  Of course the are growing up too fast.

Lilly Vade the youngest is the one who rules in this household, together
with her doggies Marley and Dexter.  Watching them at play is heart warming.

For the next few days I will take in as much of them that I can.
I will do as much with them as I can and I will enjoy every minute of it.

To all there is nothing like spending time with the ones you love.
I will be spending time with my youngest sister and her family and I am
looking forward to every moment of it.  Yes, this is what life is all about.  Family time.
As the saying goes, " I don’t care how poor a man is; if he has family, he’s rich."

You don’t choose your family.
They are a gift to you, as you are to them...

Day 2...

Discipline is doing what you know needs to be done,
even though you don't want to...

For the next two plus weeks I will be going on a low iodine "diet."   Seeing the word
diet the first thing that went through my mind was, "oh yeah! will lose a few pounds."
Well the truth is I doubt it.  I can basically eat just about everything, but have to watch
out for the salt content.  That being said I can't eat any kind of bread or milk product.
Breakfast here is a little challenging because cereal without milk is pretty bad.

Fortunately for me, there is fruit.  I can eat all the fruit I want.  So for me
breakfast for the next 2 + weeks will be a combination of all fruit imaginable.
Yesterday's breakfast was a combination of raspberries, watermelon and carrots.

Yesterday we also went to the Swap Shop.  They have a large fruit selection.
There I stocked up with, mangoes, guavas, bananas, coconuts, avocados and papayas.

Should be very interesting the next couple of weeks.  I love my foodies, though I will
not die of starvation, there are many things I will not be eating during this period.
Challenges, boy do I enjoy a good one.  This one will definitely test my will power.

Well everyone good morning. Day two is here, and remember,
discipline is choosing what you want now and what you want most.

This was my last "good" meal for the next couple of weeks.
Will miss splurging on Sundays.
I don't diet,
I just eat according to my goals...
