July 4th.....

For most Americans, Friday afternoons are filled with positive anticipation of the weekend.
In Washington, it's where government officials dump stories they want to bury.
Good news gets dropped on Monday so bureaucrats can talk about it all week.
Friday... it's about damm time you showed up....

Wednesday and Thursday were soccer free days.  For some reason it felt strange not having
something to watch in the middle of the day.  Good thing though because we were so busy
it would have  been almost impossible to see the games. Today however is a whole
different story.  It's Friday.  We have cleared up our agenda, at least for those hours
of the game.  As usual,  Arvid and I have our bets going.  I decided not
to pick Brazil.  Bad decision, maybe, but will stand by it.

If you believe in something you might as well go all in.  That's my motto
and of course win or lose I will stand by it.  So let the games begin!

Yesterday no matter what time, if you looked out all you saw was rain and more rain.
The good thing is that I was indoors most of the time so it was OK to just look out and enjoy!

A few days ago the sun came out for a few hours.  Made the perfect opportunity for
the tree trimmers to cut some branches.  Yo see hurricane season is here so it is always good
to make sure that there is as little that can fall off and crash into another unit.  Arvid, the one
in the orange T-Shirt had to make sure he had his say.  He asked for them to cut down that bushy tree.

The guys told him that the tree was protected and if they cut a few branches it may die.
Arvid's response, "that is exactly what we want.  We want it dead."
He kept a close eye as you can see on the progress of the cutting.

Remind yourself to laugh and smile.
With that thought in mind, Happy July 4th everyone.

Cheers everyone and let the weekend begin!
Never forget, freedom is never given, it is won.

I haven't been this excited about Friday,
since last Friday...
