Oslo..

My father was a Norwegian who came from a small town near Oslo. He broke his arm at the elbow when he was 14, and they amputated it...
Coming to Norway is not complete without a visit to Oslo.  I am a city person and being in Oslo fits me to a T.  Oslo is the most populous city in Norway and also the capital.

For us visiting Oslo means going to Aker Brygge in short, Oslo's meeting place for shopping, dining and entertainment...

Here Arvid and I enjoy a day of shopping, good food and he has his beers and I have coffee and dessert.  We are both happy.  We stroll along the street and have a few favorite spots we must see. Of course I also enjoy a few moments to get some cool pictures.

It's the simple things in life that make us happy.  The quietness of the moment.  The no need to say anything all the time yet be aware of each other.  We had a very good day.  As we were sitting there all by ourselves it made me miss home and our outings even more.

Oslo is a great city.  Lots of restaurants, nightlife and movement.  Everything a city should be.  We got back to the apartment, had a few snacks, chocolate pudding and of course we watched TV.

Did I forget to mention that every year when in Oslo, I have to take a picture with my friend the Troll.  Had a blast.  As usual Arvid does not want me taking pictures of him.  Pictures seem to not be his thing.  I love pictures:)

Today is not yet decided.  We still have work to do in Michelle and Emil's place.  Looking forward to this.  maybe in the afternoon we go and listen to some music, Arvid so far has not decided if he wants to go or not.  Will see.  I think it would be a nice change.  Just have to wait and see how he feels.  The day is young and anything can happen.

Have a nice day:)
A happy life must be to a great extent a quiet life, for it is only in an atmosphere of quiet that true joy dare live....
