On The Road...

The future depends on what you do today.
Remember happiness is a way of travel, not a destination...

Usually road trip is something we both look forward to.  Especially when it takes us to
my parents' home.  This time, I am a little concerned about being away from Brutus.
Of course we are glad to be visiting my parents, but at the same time, Brutus will
be without his medicines for a few days.  Not good at all.

Yes he has a pet sitter that comes everyday.  She watches TV with him and spends a few
hours with him.  Even though she wanted to give him his medicines, I was
a little concerned about that.  I told her that next time we leave I would
like to show her how I do it.  She has had pets of her own.  Has given them
medicines, but even so.  Brutus is difficult and I would hate to see her scratched.

We have rarely gone anywhere since Brutus and Arvid have been not well.
Aside from visiting my parents a few times, no other travels.  Brutus is
still not well and everyday he misses his medicines is one step back.

I really am not sure if he will ever get better or will just be contained.
Both Arvid and I are always so very sad when we see his paw and we look
at him and now that there is nothing we can do to make him, our baby better.

Leaving him as usual is always difficult.  We heard him crying as we closed the
door.  Had to drag Arvid away.  The other day as Arvid left to go somewhere
Brutus just sat by the door and started crying.  He waited and waited by the
door even falling asleep until Arvid returned.  Only then he, Brutus went to sleep
in one of his favorite spots.

For now we are on the road and always good to see mom and dad.
Hello's to all from beautiful North Carolina.

Wishing you all a good day and just a reminder that
life is like a road trip.  Enjoy each day and don't carry too much baggage...

You have to feel confident. If you don't, then you're going to be hesitant
and defensive, and there'll be a lot of things working against you.
