Surprise! Surprise!

Expect the best, plan for the worst, and prepare to be surprised...

When it comes to telling about Arvid, I can fill books and books about him.
I have said it many times before and I will never tire of saying, "he is a one
of a kind man."  To say that is actually an understatement.  One has to actually
experience him to have the full sense of what I mean.

I think my parents know him quite well by now to never be surprised by much
anymore.  That said, they are sill always surprised by him.  I think one of  Arvid's
pleasures in life is to constantly surprise people.  There was the time we showed
up in Texas at a mall and he stood right behind my mom and said, "may I help you ma'am?"

She was freaked out (pleasantly) and he thought it was way cool.  We have done
the same several times to them and to my sisters.  I do try to tell him enough is enough,
but Arvid believes that everyone loves surprises.  I constantly tell him that I don't.

Now that my parents are here he is constantly thinking of ways to surprise them.
Not sure this is always the coolest of things.  He is happy and he loves his surprises.
Now my mom and dad know him so well that anything he does is no longer a surprise.
From him they always expect the unexpected and they are never disappointed.

Have a good day all and remember,
The secret to humor is surprise.

I love when people underestimate me and then become pleasantly surprised...
