I'm still passionately interested in what my fellow
humans are up to. For me, a day spent monitoring
the passing parade is a day well-spent...
The Edison Festival of Lights parade was last night. Definitely
an interesting three hours of non stop floats, bands and you name it
it was there. Full representation of everything. The parade was
geared to thanking all first responders in Hurricane Ian.
The police department pulled out all stops. Every gadget,
vehicle they own was represented in this parade. Their bomb
squad robot, their swat team their cars, boats. Everything except
their helicopter. Quite a HUGE display of "toys" as Arvid said.
Like the winter boat parade in Fort Lauderdale, this is not
something we may see every year, but unlike the boat
parade this was a combination of everything goes.
Today there is a classic car show. Of course we will be there.
Anything cars remember. It's a beautiful day. Sunny, warm and with
lots of food trucks and different vendors. Something for both of us.
Wishing everyone a good and relaxing day.
If you're watching a parade, make sure you stand in one spot,
don't follow it, it will never change. And if the parade is boring, run
in the opposite direction, you will fast-forward the parade...
