Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity,
moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.
A birthday is a most special day in one’s life. Enjoy yours to its fullest....
Today my mother-in-law turns 87 years old. All I can say is that I wish to
be as active and energetic as she is when I reach that age. I'm sure Arvid will be
exactly like her. His energy is boundless and he is constantly on the move. Like his mother.
Like her son, Molly is not keen on having her pictures taken, but through the years
I have always managed to take a few before she knows what's happening.
At 87 years old she is the one who holds the family together.
When we arrive in Norway there is usually a gathering at her home. She always
makes a meal for us then and few more times during the stay. If it were up to her, she
would probably feed us all the time. I really am grateful and thankful, but at the same time
I do not like to impose especially because I know these gatherings really take a lot out of her.
At Molly's home there is always comfort food, and most of all warmth and the feeling
of good times spent with family. I'm grateful for this and I cherish being part of it.
We are never in Norway for her birthday. We go in July, but we will be taking her
out to a place of her choice. At this age gifts are not that important anymore,
but time spent in the company of your cherished ones is what matters.
Will be a good way for her and Arvid to have that special time then.
Of course I will be there as well. Who else will take the pictures?
Molly here is to happy times we have had and more to come. Hope your day
spent with friends and family is as special as you. Thank you always.
