Sunday July 2nd~

What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.
Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the
day after tomorrow will be sunshine. You cannot escape the
responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today...

I was finally able to go and see the orthopedic surgeon.
He was very young and handsome.  Just to get that out of
the way.  I did not mind either of the two.  After checking
my leg it was not exactly clear how I suffered this injury.

All I know is that the pain is excruciating.  I have torn
off cartilage floating around, ruptured ligaments and
a torn ACL it seems.  I am not an athlete.   Just one
more thing to add to my long medical history 😂

After the examination the doctor gave me my options.
I didn't  like any and told him so.  He said if it were
him he would do the cortisone shot and go from there.
I told him I was not brave and hated needles, but
since I was in so much pain I would do it.

I asked him if he would give me anesthesia so that I won't
feel the pain. He said no.  I said could you please numb the spot.
He said it's not necessary.  I asked how painful it was and he
said it could hurt a lot.  He sure was not being helpful, but later
I realized he was kidding with me.  I asked him if he might
accidentally hit a bone he said he could.  He didn't.

After the injection, which was not as bad as I expected I
asked how long will I be able to have relief.  He said about
six months.  I told it better be so otherwise I will track
him down.  Overall I liked him very much.

Yesterday a friend shared this sunset picture from
Fort Myers Beach.  I am looking forward to going home.
Hopefully sooner rather than later.  The thought makes
me smile and keeps us working towards that goal.

All is good in our world.  We actually had the day off yesterday.
The new office manager and our maintenance man are doing
a very good job.  That means, we can go back to soon being
retired 😂and have more quality time with Sniff-Sniff.

Last night was another very good evening spent with friends.
Let's just say by the time we left there was a lot of slurring going on,
but what a good time.  Of course I was the designated driver so
one drink was all I had, but that was also just perfect.

I had a pomegranate mojito.  It was absolutely delicious.
Something to look forward to next time.  Happy Sunday all.

Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most
importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful
thing and there's so much to smile about...
